Women: Are they Equal to Men ?
by villagegirl inone of the hard core doctrines of the wt society, and many other religions, is that women are to be in "subjection" to men.. in the bible, in genisis , it says the domination of women by men came after adam and eve disobeyed god.
eve was cursed by pain in childbirth and that from then on as a curse: "he shall rule over you " from then on the male was to dominate the female.. but that was not in the original plan.
this was a reversal of the plan and a curse.

The Statistical End Of The Disciple-Making Work?
by metatron inyou guys with the stats feel free to correct me but it appears to me that we are within a hairsbreadth of the statistical end of the preaching work (as a disciple making activity).. if the world rate of publisher increase is 1.9% - and the estimated world population increase is 1.09%, then we are extremely close to the point at which the increase of the jw organization is entirely due to making babies.
the work of gathering disciples from the public has ended statistically.. metatron.

by unstopableravens ini have to give props to most athiest on jwn, for one thing, you guys dont run away, i have been having discussions on youtube with jw and it is so frustrating.
what makes it frustrating is unlike me and athiest ,the jw and myself both claim the same thing that the bible is gods word, almost everytime i get into a discussion with one they make a claim i show them bible verse and they have no answer, so they attack me other than the point i bring up, than they say om under satan control, all for just using the bible.
than they say not to contact them anymore.

Unstop - I agree it was a disrepectful comment, I have no problem with ridiculing an idea, but not the person.
I'm not ridiculing anyone, I'm pointing out a fact - if someone genuinely believes something such as; the earth is flat, or the moon is made of cheese, then they must have a low IQ. Not an insult, just an observation.

for a person like zombie dub who da himself and knows the pain of what we all are going through i find it irrating to say i have a low iq because i believe something differnt from him.
I'm not saying you have a low iq because you believe something different from me, it's because you believe something completely moronic.
If say, I think that Ferrari is the best car and you think Lamborghini is, then great, we differ in opinion, or if we disagree on something speculative such as; what will be the dominant language on earth in the next 50 years - again great.
But if I said that I believe the sky is green, the sun orbits the earth or that water turns into glass when it gets cold - no doubt most people would consider me to have a low IQ also.
